Michelle

Michelle’s introduction to massage began in Uppsala, Sweden, where—while studying as an international student—she learned Swedish massage from a local therapist during an informal evening training. Though she didn’t practice professionally then, those skills stayed with her and now form the heart of the Swedish techniques she uses to help clients find deep relaxation and stress relief.

It wasn’t until years later, after struggling with chronic pain herself and finding limited relief from conventional medicine, did Michelle finally pursue massage therapy as a career with the hopes to both support her own healing as well as help others find relief.

In 2018, she graduated from the North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork, training in structural bodywork with a focus on neuromuscular therapy (NMT) and myofascial release techniques; she later also trained in Thai yoga bodywork and barefoot massage. While most of her education has been clinical, Michelle values the emotional and mental benefits of touch and aims to cultivate a space that meets each client where they are.
